Our History
Preparatory work related to the creation Polish Consortium Group began in spring of 2007.
Much effort has gone into the work related to the creation of the Statute, which is the main document regulating the activities of the Consortium. The Nucleus of our actions which resulted the establishment of PACG, focused on conversations with the Consul Wojciech Lukasiewicz, Dariusz Wojtaszek, I-st Secretary for Economics and Pawel Pytlarczyk Director of Trade and Investment. Meetings took place in the Poconos in Pennsylvania and the Polish Consulate in New York.
PACG’s rise preceded a series of meetings with representatives of Polish businesses, which were proven to be a valuable asset in achieving success.
Our founder is Janusz Pstrągowski. He organized several meetings which were attended by the owners of Polish businesses. He is also co-founder of the organization of the Polish American Cultural Alliance in Stroudsburg, PA. He developed a structure during a meeting at INTEGRATION, POLONIA. Due to its enormous success the event was hold annually. This attracted a great diversity of people.
All efforts were directed to create a successful Polish-American economic organization.
The result of all the work is the creation of satisfied Polish Consortium Group.
During an initial General Meeting, on June 12, 2008, authorities were selected:
-The President Leszek Kucieba
-Vice-President Janusz Pstrągowski
-Vice-President Peter Wilk
-Vice President Grzegorz Rusek
-Treasurer Anita Pekala
The first major undertaking was the organization of First Polish Trade Show in November of 2008 on the east coast which was a spectacular.
The next project was to organize a meeting in April 2009 Polonia Collision, Economy, Science, Culture and Sport.
PACG decided to make this annual event.
In order to gain wider public awareness in May 2009 the name from Polish Consortium Group has been changed to Polish American Consortium Group. The name of the Polish Trade Show was modified to Open Polish Trade Show. Any modifications of the structure, names and all actions of the Consortium are the result of numerous meetings with representatives of companies and organizations.
Work is currently underway for the second edition of the Open Polish Trade Show and on many other projects in line with the objectives of the Consortium.
